Manchester City Team News, Updates and Facts
Man City Team News
Pep Guardiola has some absolutely huge stars out right now, hampering him tremendously with his team selection. Center back Aymeric Laporte, winger Leroy Sane, and striker Sergio Aguero are all injured. There is some good news, though, as midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is available for selection following his one-match ban on Tuesday against Burnley.
Man City Key Man
Gabriel Jesus came into Tuesday night’s match at the Clarets without a goal in ten matches for club and country. He came away with two goals, both of which were magnificent. That’s what players of his ilk can do. You back off and they push you, and it goes to show there is massive quality throughout the City squad. Bernardo Silva was a big player in that result, as he had two spectacular assists. The first came to Jesus as he set him up with a deft touch, underlining his credentials to harm United or anyone they face.

Manchester United Team News, Updates and Facts
Man United Team News
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains without a number of players, some vital to their cause and some not so much. Most of them are concentrated in defence, with Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, and Tim Fosu-Mensah out. Midfielder Paul Pogba, a man that has won them this tie in the past, is also still out, while Luke Shaw is back fit and available.
Man United Key Man
Marcus Rashford had a whale of a night on Wednesday, didn’t he? He came back to bite former manager Mourinho by scoring twice, once from the spot to make up for earlier blushes in the season, and to show just what he can do when he’s on his game. That’s nine goals and four assists on the season, giving him the lead in both categories. Out wide, Dan James will be critical to their cause. Solskjaer called him a great ‘defensive’ wing, and that will be put to the test here as he will not only be asked to provide service but will surely be doing a ton of hard work against City’s possession.
